Method batch date: December 2003


Total oils: 44 ounces

Total Coconut Milk: 15.4 ounces

Total Sodium Hydroxide: 6 ounces

Oils used: Castor, Kukui Nut, Macadamia Nut, Olive, Palm & Palm Kernel

Color Additives: None

Fragrance Additives: None

Method: Oven Hot Process

Mold: Log, Wooden

Purpose: The purpose of this method is to use Pure Coconut Milk in place of the water portion of the formula and to demonstrate adding Sodium Hydroxide directly to Pure Coconut Milk at room temperature.


Pre heat oven to 180º




Thai Kitchen Pure Coconut Milk used for this method as it contains no additives:




Label:




High quality Coconut Milk: Can be distinguished by the fat separating from the watery portion.




Pour out Coconut Milk into a separate bowl:




Stir well to blend fat and water:




Measure out 15.4oz into a separate bowl:
